Well I made that [late night blog post]([[Devops Future]]) and...well I took the first step. This post isn't anything too deep or exciting. I'm not even saying I'll keep track of things for real, but I will try to I guess. Anyway let me just tell you what I'm talking about. I officially bought the CKA and CKAS cert from Linux foundations. I haven't set a solid date to use my vouchers but they are there and last a year. Within the next 3 months I would like to sit for these certs. Everything in life comes down to how bad you want it right? Well these things I wouldn't say I want really bad but the skills and the validation are. I'm no longer casually looking for a job, I'm seriously looking. If I can secure these certs I know things will just get that much easier. I'm always studying pentesting and such on the side, but once again those need to fall to the wayside to get this goal accomplished. You didn't ask, but personally I don't see moving around goals as a bad thing. I started this blog tracking my transition into a new role and now I'm doubling down on those skills. I can still study other things in my free time. I don't want to be super strict on myself to the point that I no longer take this serious. ## So what's the study plan (TLDR) Pretty simple study plan for me: 1. study 5-10hrs a week 2. make sure I take some good notes and practice them elsewhere (hello homelab) 3. take a few practice test to get familiar with the format 4. pass the test and go get wings Per usual I'll keep track of all the resources I use and how this truly plays out.
