This is a random thought blog post so if you want something detailed
this aint it.
I\'ve been holding off on being vocal about it but I didn\'t pass my
Jenkins certification. I blame myself but I also realize that A Cloud
Guru shouldn\'t be the end all be all of studying. The reason the AWS
CCP studying probably went way smoother is because I know AWS. The only
new things I learned was billing. With the Jenkins course the practice
test had me feeling confident but by like question 5 I knew it was over.
There was a lot of CLI (command line interface) things. I barely saw
that in the stud plan. It was like a \"nice to know\". So my plan is to
get back into some cli work for 2 weeks and try again.
I\'ll also be back on my lab life. I want to take my CYSA+ within
6months. I\'ll make another post on how I\'m setting up for that once I
have everything. TLDR I\'m going to be using my desktop and trying to
stream some study with me days of ctfs or something I\'m doing. The hard
part about the streams is I\'ll be paying for some things and you can\'t
stream private content.
So I guess at this point you might be looking at me sideways. I\'ve
moved progressively slower on certs, I\'m now 0/2 on passing certs and
yea\...well idk what to tell ya. Life be life-ing. I\'m not going to
beat myself up over things I\'ve given my all. I\'m also not going to
give up with my goals of appsec or devopssec. I\'m trying to get back to
a me I liked and stuff. If that means I falter a bit then whatever. At
the end of the day I think \"I\'m probs doing better than whoever is
secretly competing with me\" (ego thing) and that helps me push through.
