I really came here to tell you about this free course that I\'m
currently going though. Before we get there though let me catch you
up\...
May really crept up on me. I don\'t really know what I was expecting
because it comes at the same time every year but here we are. This time
last year I was preparing for one of the greatest breaks of my life
(attending my sibling\'s graduation), but this year I\'m preparing for
test and life changes. I feel like I\'m not really giving things my all
so I\'ve been trying to figure out how to readjust/recondition myself
(thanks Hank!). Going through this I\'ve decided to so 3 things: Get
more serious about passing the AWS SAA, get back on my security game,
and get back to actively practicing mobile development.
AWS is\...a thing. I\'m not too worried with my progress there. I really
want to focus on using new things in Android or Flutter, and getting
more comfortable with security tools. That being said I\'m going to make
time to stream more mobile stuff after work on
[Twitch](https://www.twitch.tv/mochila_ninja) and
[Youtube](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwJ7nv_s4uFURRBUPQppppg). I
want people to see that I\'m always learning too and feel free to learn
with me or ask questions. With security I want to take the complete
opposite approach and write. I mentioned before that a big part of
security is being able to write reports. That is what I want to put my
effort into. All the reports are going to be on this here blog and my
goal is to break down what I\'ve done so well that anyone can replicate
it and learn. Seems like a big task but I think I can do it.
So what is this free course? Glad you asked! There is this tool called
Autopsy used for DFIR (Digital Forensics & Incident Response). The
creator took his [\$495 class and made it free until June
1st](https://www.autopsy.com/support/training/covid-19-free-autopsy-training/)
during these times. So far I really like it. It\'s a mix of video and
labs that are easy to follow. There are also quizzes too as a \"make
sure you know\" type of thing. If you are thinking you want to try out
digital forensics this course is a good start. Well that\'s all I got so
happy learning!
