TLDR: I finally fixed my windows download problem and dropbox download. I'm still very much on the fence about how this computer will go long term. Charging was slow and the battery life is like half a day. Also with very minimal apps (for me) the computer was hanging/lagging a lot. We shall see how this goes after a quarter. --- Back to update my review on the framework laptop. I don't think this review is fair to be honest because it's only been a week, BUT I did take it to a conference with me. The mini spill is that I went to [Chain React Conf](https://chainreactconf.com/) to enjoy the mobile dev space and keep my ears on what's happening in the react native space. Anyway while there there were outlets for me to use and such. I can't say I know if my computer last a while day with me doing technical work because...well...I started the conference with my computer on 10%. lol Anyway the review. This computer is LAGGY. I know your going to say it's about the specs and your not wrong but essentially this is for me to quickly demo concepts from work and such. I wouldn't dare do an entire mobile app on this things without increasing memory and such. It took all week, but I was finally able to get that 23H update by downloading an iso and running the update there. I also updated my bios (because I new one came out), and I got dropbox downloaded. Dropbox is important for my use with Obsidian. I have all my notes saved there and it's just easier to blog on the go with it. Anyway outside of fighting those things I started a few cool projects like testing out some DB stuff and deploying a webserver with bun. Everything felt pretty smooth with using WSL and VSCode. With doing all that stuff my battery life felt great until I realized I was putting the computer in sleep mode so my battery was draining at a normal pace. Looks like you can get about a half a work day off these things doing some programming work. Trying to charge it back up was such a pain. So slow that once it got to 50% I just shut it off. I don't like waiting clearly but I do think I have the charging expectation of my mac and I need to be ok with that not happening ya know. I don't think anything past light work can happen on this computer so I'll be using it as my dev/staging environment. So far docker/podman seems to run well and all that as well. I had a few tabs open in Brave and things were still good. The lag hits really with loading apps or sometimes I guess if I click too fast. I still like the keyboard, and for a 13" screen this is actually a really nice size (maybe it's because my Mac is a 14" screen). OH! Packing wise...packing this bad boy wasn't bad. I'll probably find an alternative to the charger. The charger isn't too big but when you have 2 parts you have to be very careful to make sure they are together. I'm usually not. Since this charges by USB-C I think I just want to use the right brick and cable combo. Size wise the computer is pretty slim so that wasn't a problem. I did keep hitting the button to eject the cartridges. I didn't see any of them move but I made sure to check every time I took out my computer. I have no solution for that just fields weird and makes you want to freak out a bit. Anyway if you were thinking of buying this computer and you aren't going to really be trying to build a live server on it or nothing like that then I think it's worth it. I'm not mad at this purchase and I know that I upgrade whatever I want when I want.
